Fully guarded Walkways are the preferred option when access is required for routine maintenance and inspection. mcd walkways provide a defined and secure route across the roof keeping users safe from the associated hazards when working at height. mcd walkways can be combined with our range of platforms, ladders and steps to form a complete safe access solution.

Lightweight

mcd walkways are manufactured from lightweight aluminium extrusions and designed to provide safe access whilst spreading the load safely over the roof with the minimum of weight on the structure.

Versatile

Equally suited to both retrofit and new build, we provide support systems for all traditional types of roof, including fragile cement fibre, glazed, tiled, slate, as well as modern composite panel, single ply PVC membrane and all types of standing seam. We will survey and manufacture to suit your site requirements guaranteeing peace of mind and a perfect installation.

Easy to install

The pre-fabricated sections are designed to be installed by just a 2-man team with individual components light enough to be manually handled safely and installed with ease.

Low maintenance

mcd Walkway systems are inherently maintenance free. We do recommended a regular visual inspection is made by a competent person which should be recorded at least annually dependent on frequency of use and location.

Durable

Mill finish aluminium has very good corrosion resistance in most environments and the durability is generally accepted as being superior to galvanised steel. mcd walkways are built to last, the combination of good design, aluminium construction and stainless steel fixings gives a long life expectancy.

Aesthetically pleasing

We take pride in our Walkways, our finished systems are pleasing to the eye with a sense of purpose. Standard product is supplied in natural aluminium mill finish but we also offer powder coating in any RAL colour to either complement or blend with the host building.
